Maine Division of Vocational Rehabilitation
2009
Comprehensive Statewide Needs Assessment
Staff from the CHOICES CEO project collaborated with Maine’s Division of Vocational Rehabilitation (DVR) and the State Rehabilitation to complete a Comprehensive Statewide Needs Assessment in June 2009. The assessment is designed to answer important questions about the population eligible for DVR services that live in Maine and their vocational rehabilitation needs. It will guide in its strategic plan and goal development for the next three fiscal years, 2010 - 2012.
The assessment includes information describing the population served by DVR, employment outcomes, the flow of clients through the VR program, results from 2008 consumer satisfaction survey, consumer input collected by the SRC, and estimates of the population eligible for DVR services from the American Community Survey, Social Security program data, and Department of Education data about children enrolled in special education.
