Maine's CHOICES CEO Project

Expanding Opportunities for Workers with Disabilities

Youth in Transition from School to Work: Disability Disclosure Demonstration Sessions

The Maine Transition Network has recently completed a demonstration project that addresses the understanding of one's disability, fears about disclosing disability information with employers, and that provides information on how to ask for accommodations.

A disability disclosure curriculum was developed for young people and educators. A student workbook that accompanies the curriculum was also developed. If you are interested in learning more about this work or are interested in these materials, please contact us. This work builds on a publication of the National Collaborative on Workplace and Disability, titled, "411 on Disability Disclosure: A Workbook for Youth with Disabilities."

The curriculum was rolled out in six regions of the state.
