Maine's CHOICES CEO Project

Expanding Opportunities for Workers with Disabilities

ANNOUNCING A NEW RESOURCE for individuals or organizations seeking Work Incentives Planning & Assistance services!

Maine Medical Center’s Department of Vocational Services is pleased to announce the availability of a new website for those interested in Work Incentives Planning and Assistance (WIPA) services:

Go to: www.benefitsandworkinme.org

The website has general information about free WIPA services and eligibility, the statewide listing of Community Work Incentives Coordinators (CWICs), referral forms that can be printed and mailed to get an appointment, an online request for services form, information and materials for referring agencies and online resources for individuals with disabilities returning to work.

We hope this will improve access to WIPA services for Social Security beneficiaries/recipients statewide and look forward to hearing from you!

The development of this website was made possible by funding from Maine’s CHOICES Comprehensive Employment Opportunity (CEO) project at the University of Southern Maine Muskie School of Public Service.

WIPA services are made possible through a cooperative agreement with the Social Security Administration with additional support from the Maine Bureau of Rehabilitation Services, Maine Department of Health and Human Services, and CHOICES CEO. The contents of this publication are the sole responsibility of the authors and do not represent the official views of the Social Security Administration.
